I think we all know what time of year it is. Evidently, that can be interpreted by the very title of this post. That is right the topic today is about the back to school season. Also known as the First Week of School.
The First Week of School. What can I say about it. ‘A step towards ‘those days’?’ You know; the days where the ‘M’ in Monday is the same ‘M’ in Melancholy.
Honestly, it is not long before a good many of us (me in particular) will be doing accurate impersonations of Garfield the Cat’s ‘I hate Mondays’. I can almost hear my wallet crying from the sudden shrinkage while pouring my money into Starbucks. That is pretty much the fast life for a college student like myself.
It doesn’t just apply to college students but to anyone who hold a basic occupation in society. Students in general, parents, and especially functioning members of society who live on the fast track almost every day to support people as a whole be it intentionally or unintentionally. People like office workers, the fast food industry, farmers, authors, teachers, uber drivers, and anyone who holds a job that supports anyone in anyway really deserve a shout out. Someone thank these people already for going this far in life. That is the fast life for us.
I know I might be writing stuff that sounds very negative but that what it is. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that this sort of season is completely bad and all. In fact, I can actually find some positive points about this time of year.
I met up with a few friends back at college. They invited me for Dungeons and Dragons (yes I have not played ever)… Thinking back on it now, I never really thought that far about the positive aspects of the ‘back to work’ season. But hey- the support and company of people such as friends and family can really take a person far. Even thinking about how just the simple company of appreciated people can greatly tip my mental positive and negative weight scales really amazes me.
But hey – what can I say? Honestly, let me just end yet another of my stupid ramblings of my every growing blog of randomness.
